At the beginning of the Senior year Art IV, AP, students will be required to prepare a resume that will help them to organize information for their applications.  The resume will be prepared during the first week of the Senior year.  

    The students of the Art IV, AP class will also be required to compile a College Application Notebook of information from schools that the student is considering for application.  The information will include application deadlines, scholarship deadlines, procedures, portfolio requirements, slide preparation specifics, phone numbers, email and web site addresses, and other pertinent information.  Follow this link to to the College Links Page to find much of this information.  For information about specific majors at art colleges belonging to the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD) follow the link.  The rest of the information can be found in the college catalogue or by phoning the school.  Follow this link to the College Board AP Page for information on the 2003/2004 AP Portfolios

THE STUDENT GIVES THE APPLICATION TO HIS GUIDANCE COUNSELOR IN A LARGE MANILA ENVELOPE. Postage is covered by Graduation fees.

  •     -ANY OTHER FORMS REQUESTED BY THE THE COLLEGE

THE GUIDANCE COUNSELOR WILL INCLUDE THE TRANSCRIPT AND HIS LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION IF REQUIRED

(The TRANSCRIPT will include class rank, GPA, and all SAT and ACT test results on record at that time)

THE COUNSELOR WILL SEND ALL ITEMS IN ONE MAILING TO EACH SCHOOL AS REQUESTED.

INCLUDE A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE IF YOU WANT THE SLIDE PORTFOLIO RETURNED

SAT AND ACT RESULTS

Most schools prefer these to be sent to them directly from the Testing Organizations.

IF THE STUDENT DID NOT INDICATE THE CODE NUMBERS FOR THE SCHOOLS TO WHICH HE IS APPLYING WHEN HE TOOK THE SAT/ACT HE SHOULD GET A REQUEST FORM FROM THE GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT AND SEND IT TO THE TESTING SERVICE.

GET A FAF (Financial Aid Form) FROM THE GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT AROUND CHRISTMAS AND SEND TO FAF OFFICE AFTER JANUARY FIRST. THIS MUST BE DONE TO RECEIVE FINANCIAL AID CONSIDERATION FROM EACH SCHOOL.
