My wife Robin, my son Greg II (Moeller class of 2005) and I live in Landen (Twenty Mile Stand) a northeast suburb of Cincinnati, OH, near the Paramount Kings Island Amusement Park,  where every summer evening we are serenaded by fireworks. The Photo on the left was taken this past August in England in the tree house of Mr. John Patrick, a good friend of whom we have come to know from our friends the Espley's of Sutton-On-Sea, Lincolnshire.

Credit / Thanks

  • To my late father Bill Stanforth Sr., who gave me my love of sports and children, my passionate spirit, and a desire to be as generous as he was.  And in his and my mother's capacity as Santa Claus gave me my future in the guise of my first "Jon Gnagy Learn to Draw Kit".

  • To my mother Ruth Stanforth who always encouraged as well as tolerated my love for art making and said that if I wanted something done right I should do it myself.  She was right.  And with her example she showed me the importance of recognizing the needs of others.

  • To Sister Monica Ann Lucas, S.C., my seventh grade teacher, who taught me self-esteem and gave me the opportunity to speak to a group of fourteen hundred people.

  • To Bro. Charles P. Wanda, S.M., teacher, friend, mentor, colleague, and the best representative that Jesus has on this earth.  As I tell all of my friends and acquaintances," I don't know much about Jesus, but I know Charlie Wanda."   He gave me my art skills, a belief in myself as an artist, and the best job I've ever had. He also has the unique ability to tolerate me on a daily basis.

  • To my lovely wife, Robin, who not only gave me the greatest gift possible - our son Greg II, but a daily love that knows no bounds.

  • To Dr. Foster Wygant, and Dr. Laura Chapman for the content, theory and practice of the profession of Art Education.  Thanks especially for and to the artist Ben Shahan, The Shape of Content, and Dr. Edmund Burke Feldman, Varieties of Visual Experience.
