Miriam
Culley received her undergraduate Clarinet Performance degree from
Depaul
University
(
Chicago
) . She studied with the
Principal Clarinetist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She earned a Master
of Clarinet Performance at the
University
of
Cincinnati
's College-Conservatory
of Music. Miriam is currently principal clarinetist of the Richmond
Symphony, and has been a member of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra for over
15 years. She has frequently performed with the Dayton Philharmonic,
Lexington Philharmonic, Cincinnati Ballet, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra
and won a one year position with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Miriam
has also performed with the Aspen Summer Music Festival Orchestra and the
Chautauqua Summer Institute Orchestra.
Other
teaching positions include the College-Conservatory Preparatory Department,
the School for Creative and Performing Arts, and orther area high schools.
