All times listed are p.m. unless otherwise indicated.  If two times are listed, the first is a rehearsal, the second the performance start time. Times given are for the beginning of the event- students will need to arrive earlier.  Arrival times will be given in the weeks preceding the event.  Other dates may be added; notification will be given as far in advance as possible. A description of events is given below; more specific information will be handed out and posted on the website in the month prior to the event.

Marching Season Preview Show is a chance for all marching band members to perform for family and friends.  

Marching Band events, including football games and contests, are required of members marching in the contest show.  Other members are encouraged to come play in the stands and help with equipment  

*Antique Shows are open to the public Sat. 9-4 and Sun. 12-4.  Set-up is on Fri. from 3-6; clean-up is on Sun. from 4-7.  Students are to work either the set-up or clean-up and one additional two-hour shift.  

***The Band is expected to perform at all playoff games.  Please plan on performances on Saturdays in November.  

Open Houses: students are asked to sign up for a shift to speak to potential members at the Band & Guard Booth at Moeller and MND.  In addition, chamber ensembles may perform.  

** Jazz Band events required of Jazz Band members only.  Jazz Band will begin rehearsing in October.  Auditions will be held if necessary.   

Basketball Pep Band will begin rehearsing in November.  A performance schedule will be given to members and posted on the website.  We will play most home games- check the Basketball web page for game dates.  

Chris tmas Concert is a required performance for all band members.  Symphonic Band, Jazz Band , Percussion Ensembles, and the Men’s Chorus will perform.  Details TBA.  

 Eighth Grade Day/ Showcase: required of all band members (Moe & MND).  This is a chance to perform for eighth graders interested in Moeller and MND.  Details TBA.  

Café Concert is a less formal concert featuring the Jazz Band , Percussion Ensembles, and Chamber Ensembles.  Reserved seating is at tables and refreshments are served.  

Solo and Ensemble, Recitals:  each student prepares a solo or participates in an ensemble for the Ohio Music Education Association Solo and Ensemble Adjudicated Event.  See the handbook for more information. In preparation for this event, students perform their solos with an accompanist for family and friends at one of two recitals held in the Auditorium at Moeller.  

OMEA  Band Contest is for all band members.  The Symphonic Band performs for a panel of adjudicators who give a rating based on specific criteria.  Performance time, Friday OR Saturday, will be determined by the hosting school.  

Spring Concert is the culminating event of the concert and jazz season.  The Symphonic Band, Jazz Band , Percussion Ensembles, Chamber Ensembles, and a selected soloist are featured.  For all members.  

New York Trip 2008!  For ALL members!  Concert performances, sight seeing, and more!   

Pit Orchestra is the ensemble that performs for the spring Musical Theater production.  Members are selected by audition.  A more detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided for members of the ensemble.  

Vietnam Day is an educational event sponsored by the Moeller Social Studies Department.  The band performs at the closing ceremony honoring the veterans.  All boys participate; girls are invited, but not required to perform (during school hours).  

Memorial Day Parade*** is for all members, even those who didn’t march in the fall.  The parade is goes through Blue Ash, and we perform before our largest audience of the entire year.
