M.A.C.H. 1
Moeller Advocates for Community Housing
Adult Leader: Mr. Mike Moroski

1404 Republic is FINISHED!
It will be occupied by the end on June!
The boys, ReSTOC, Over-the-Rhine and I thank you so much for all of the support; The Moeller Family really came together over this project, and we rehabilitated the largest ReSTOC unit since 1991 in a short amount of time. Everybody deserves a pat on the back as we rest in anticipation for our next project in the Fall.

Thank you and enjoy the summer!

Peace,
Mike Moroski

Formerly
ReSTOC

Founded by buddy gray, ReSTOC, Race Street Tenant Organization Cooperative, is a non-profit organization that gives housing to citizens of Over-the-Rhine.  The members of the board of ReSTOC are people that were once homeless as well.  This way, the community members make the decisions as to who gets to live in the units.  One must go through a program before they are eligible for housing.  For example, someone may go to the Drop Inn Center (also founded by buddy gray), decide to get off drugs, then go to the Recovery Hotel, then, when they are ready, apply for a ReSTOC apartment unit to help get their life back together.  This gives these people an identity, which is at the heart of the homelessness problem in Cincinnati.  All of the rent paid to ReSTOC is put in a pool that is used for the upkeep of the units.  This avoids the “slum lord” scenario.  The hope is that one day these people will be able to fully support themselves.  Unfortunately, if a resident is found to be back on drugs, ReSTOC has no option but to evict them and make room for someone who will use the unit in a proper way.
