The Beauty That Is You
Matt Hook

When I think of something beautiful,
I think of the morning sunshine,
I think of the rainbow that comes after the storm,
I think of the sunset on the horizon.
When I see something beautiful,
I see the full moon in the sky,
I see the dew gathering on the flower petals,
I see the Bahamian coral reef.
When I hear something beautiful,
I hear the song of the skylark in the morning,
I hear a symphony playing Beethoven,
I hear the wind blowing through the leaves.
All of these things I see, hear, and think,
Are parts of my definition of beauty,
Yet all fail to compare,
To the Beauty that is You.
